Weathered and wise
My dog Ginger and I spent a few days in Joshua Tree, scrambling and painting. One day, she made an ambitious leap onto a high boulder—too far to jump back, and I couldn’t reach her. My heart raced, but Ginger? She just lay down and waited. She knew she was safe and trusted I’d find a way. I scanned the rocks and spotted a long climb up the other side. I told her to STAY and left. When I finally reached the top, there she was—calm, wagging her tail. That day I learned that lesson from her - if you’re in a tough spot, keep doing the right things and then simply trust the process. Sometimes, like Ginger, the best thing is to stay still, breathe, and believe a solution will come. That evening, with a peaceful heart, I painted this sunset—grateful for those rocks, my little dog, and Mother Nature’s quiet lessons. 🌅🐾
